Mililani Community Church exists to glorify God
by developing fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ

Jesus said: "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you."

Matthew 28:19-20

"So we continue to preach Christ to each person, using all wisdom to warn and to teach everyone, in order to bring each one into God's presence as a mature person in Christ"

OUR CORE VALUES…

God's Word

We believe in the power, authority and relevance of God's Word to change and direct lives. Therefore we are a Bible-centered church. Our ministry focuses upon the expositional preaching and teaching of the Word of God.

Prayer

We believe that prayer is essential to the effectiveness and fruitfulness of any work of God. The real victory in service for Christ is won beforehand by prayer.

Evangelism and World Missions

We believe that God wants us to spread the gospel as widely and fruitfully as we can in order to reach lost people for Christ in Hawaii and the world. We are currently committed to a ministry of church planting on Maui and of partnering with a new church plant in Fukuoka, Japan.

Spiritual Growth

We believe that every believer should be committed to a lifestyle of consistent spiritual growth. The small group is the primary structure for discipleship in our church. In small groups believers can be accountable to one another and mature in their faith through Bible study, prayer and encouragement. We are planning small groups at different maturity levels to develop sequential growth for disciples.

Loving God and Loving One Another

We believe God wants us to be a loving, unified community of people who are concerned for the needs of others. Loving God is the first priority. A genuine love for God results in genuine love and caring relationships for others in His family. This love for one another demonstrates the unity of the Spirit and enables us to manifest Christ’s love to a lost world.

Every Member a Minister

We believe that every believer is created for ministry, gifted by God for ministry, authorized for ministry, and needed for ministry. Therefore every member should be committed to the discovery, development and deployment of their spiritual gifts.

Strong Families

For the church to be strong it must be made up of strong family units–Therefore we believe in equipping God's people to live effectively in Christian families. Our children's and youth ministries are designed to augment, not compete with, parental responsibilities.

Spiritual Leadership

We believe in identifying and training leaders in all aspects of our ministry who know and live God’s truth and are disciple-makers, committed to equipping others for service in the Body of Christ.

Spiritual Vitality

We envision a healthy congregation of believers whose personal relationship with God results in a spiritual vitality that is characterized by daily obedience, humble dependence, joyful unity and a servant’s heart.

Community Impact

We envision a church committed to ministering to the needs of our community in order that the depressed, the frustrated and the confused can find love, acceptance, help, hope, forgiveness, guidance and encouragement.

Outreach

We envision a church that places a high priority on introducing people to the Lord Jesus Christ both here in our community and around the world. We desire to impact our world by becoming a sending church in both short-term and long-term missions.

Spiritual Growth

We envision a church with a well-defined path to spiritual maturity, where there are opportunities for a basic as well as in-depth knowledge of God's Word. We see small groups as being central to the care, growth and accountability of the body.

Ministry Multiplication

We envision a church in which every member is equipped for faithful, fruitful, and fulfilling service through the discovery and deployment of the gifts and talents God has given them.

Worship

We envision a church characterized by vibrant worship that exalts the Lord Jesus Christ and engages the heart, mind and emotions of people with God.

Facilities

We envision a church with a facility that is open and inviting can support multiple ministries throughout the week and that adds value to our community. In 2003 we purchased a site for our new church building in Mililani Mauka.

Leadership Development

We envision a church in which every part of our ministry is filled with people who know and live God’s truth and have become disciple-makers who are equipping others for service in the Body of Christ.

Growing in godly living and spiritual maturity through a knowledge and application of God’s Word to your life.

SERVING CHRIST: A Commitment to Ministry

Investing your life in ministry to and with others in God’s family, as you discover and use your spiritual gifts for God’s glory.

SHARING CHRIST: A Commitment to Missions

Learning how to share the Good News with lost people in a sensitive and relevant way, and becoming committed to fulfilling Christ's command in the Great Commission to "go and make disciples of all nations."
