Discovering Discipleship Series

We encourage each person in our church family go through the four basic seminars we offer that orient you to the ministry of Mililani Community Church and help you on the path to spiritual maturity. Each class is offered as one-day Sunday afternoon seminar.

These seminars are adapted from the discipleship model described in The Purpose-Driven Church by Rick Warren.

CLASS 101: DISCOVERING GOD'S FAMILY

A basic introduction to our church family designed to explain who and what our church is about. You will be given an opportunity to become a member of the church at the end of this class. This class is offered once a month as scheduled or requested.

CLASS 201: DISCOVERING SPIRITUAL MATURITY

The focus of this class is on the four basic habits every Christian needs to develop in order to grow to spiritual maturity. This class will equip you with the skills you need to begin these habits and explains the tools you need to continue these habits.

CLASS 301: DISCOVERING MY MINISTRY

In this class you will identify your spiritual gifts, your temperament and talents; discover how to fulfill God's purpose for you; match your talents with specific ministries; learn about places of service at MCC in which you may become involved.

CLASS 401: DISCOVERING MY MISSION

This is the final seminar in the Discovering Discipleship series. In the previous classes you have learned about what it means to be in God's family, how to mature in your relationship with Him, and how to discover your spiritual gifts and abilities and put them to use in building the Kingdom of God. In this class you learn how to share your faith with those around you in a relevant and sensitive way.
