Dr. Ray Ortland has written: "The Christian who is not committed to a group of other believers for praying, sharing, and serving, so that he is known, as he knows others, is not an obedient Christian. He is not in the will of God. However vocal he may be in his theology, he is not obeying the Lord."

We have a variety of small groups including Marriage Enrichment, Youth Discipleship, Men's Bible classes, Ladies Bible classes, and Weekly Home Fellowships. This past summer our entire congregation studied the book of II Timothy in small groups. In addition, over the past year we have instituted a series of Sermon-Based Small Groups.

FORTY-DAYS OF PURPOSE SMALL GROUPS	click for full image
During our 40 Days of Purpose Campaign this year we had eleven small groups meeting in various homes in Central Oahu.

One of the highlights of this campaign was the addition of about a dozen young military men and their families through a new small group hosted by a family on Wheeler Army Air Force Base. All of these men have since been assigned to Iraq where they are serving their country and their Lord Jesus Christ.

TOP-GUN BASIC TRAINING FOR MEN

The goal of Top Gun Basic Training is to equip men for godly living and global impact. This is a nine-month intensive weekly discipleship group that builds men of Christian character and conviction.

FOUNDATIONS OF THE CHRISTIAN FAITH	click for full image
This group meets every Wednesday in Mililani Mauka from 7-8:30 p.m. at the home of Scott and Michelle Akana 95-1009 Hoalia Street. Kids are welcome.

We cover some of the basic areas of the Christian faith: The Person of Christ, the Work of Christ, the Holy Spirit, How to Pray, Confession and Forgiveness, How to Share Your Faith, Your Adversary the Devil, The Bible, etc.

TEEN BIBLE STUDY

High School and Middle School students participate in weekly studies related to growth and maturity in their Christian walk. Under the direction of Youth Pastor Steve Knapp, various Bible books and study topics are covered. The current series involves Leadership Development. We meet on Sunday nights from 5:30 to 7:30 in the homes of our young people.

BARNABUS BIBLE STUDY

Monday evenings from 7-9 pm. at the home of Claude and Peggy Mira (94-489 Hokuili Street). Charlie Oliva is the Bible teacher for this group of mostly seniors.

COLLEGE AND CAREER FELLOWSHIP & BIBLE STUDY

Wednesday evenings 7-9 pm at the home of Mark and Shannon Heil (95-1019 Kuauli Street #118). Join with us each Wednesday as we search the Scriptures and enjoy fellowship with one another. Currently studying the Book of Jeremiah.

LADIES BIBLE STUDY

Thursday mornings, from 9:15 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Lynn Murphy leads this study on the Beatitudes at (318-B Millett Street, Schofield Base). Workbook: $17. Contact Lynn Murphy for more information and directions.
