The goal of our men’s ministry is to help you grow stronger in your personal relationship with God, your relationship with other people and the fulfillment of your calling to represent Jesus Christ in your world.

Small Groups

The Christian life was not designed to be lived alone. Men were made for relationships with God and with other men. Men’s small groups give you the opportunity to meet regularly with other men for the study of God’s Word, for fellowship, praying for one another and encouraging each other. The goal is that you might grow in your relationship with Jesus Christ and reflect Him more clearly to the world.

Top Gun Basic Training

The goal of Top Gun Basic Training is “to equip men for personal godliness and global impact.” Those who commit themselves to this discipleship program can expect to:

  • Learn how to dig into God’s Word
  • Develop a consistent walk with the Lord
  • Build lasting friendships with other men
  • Witness the power of answered prayer
  • Find your place of service in the church
  • Learn to share Christ with confidence

Men’s Sports Teams

Joel Shiroma and Terry Tanaka have done a great job of organizing our men’s sports teams in previous years. This year Jonathan Uyeno is organizing our Men’s Basketball Team for the 2003 season. The men’s sports ministry also sponsors church game days. Activities include flag football, volleyball, and basketball.

Men’s Breakfasts

Periodically we schedule a men’s breakfast. These breakfasts feature a testimony by one of the men of our church and a time of warm fellowship. Watch for the announcement in the bulletin of the next men’s breakfast.

Men’s Helps Ministry

This is a ministry of the men of our church who serve by giving of their time, resources and strength to meet special needs in the congregation such as painting fences, fixing plumbing, pouring concrete, or helping with any special projects during the year. They are available to assist the elders of the church in ministering to the body of Christ when needs become known that require a man’s touch. The possibilities of this practical serving ministry are unlimited.

ANNUAL MEN’S RETREAT

This is a great opportunity to spend a weekend refreshment and fellowship with other men of the church. Past retreats have included trips to Molokai, the Big Island, and the North Shore of Oahu.
