When we first started this newsletter, we wanted to find a title that really fit our youth group and could describe what our youth we are all about. We hoped that the title used for this paper would be a theme that we could use as a name for our group. Thetitle “Living in the Light” was supposed to be used only for the first month while the group decided on a more permanent theme.

That one month turned into four, but the youth group has finally picked the theme, FOCUS: Focused On Christ’s Unfailing Sacrifice.

We hope that this theme will challenge everyone to keep their focus on Jesus in everything they do and to sharpen their image of him. We plan to use this theme for the rest of the year, and anticipate having a theme will bring the youth group even closer.
